I'm not sure if there is a write up but if you need something specific explained let me know and I'll see if I can write on it. You will need a special tool to remove the special nut on top. Also, a suitable spring compressor or a shop that has one. I find brannick wall compressors the best for this purpose. The top three nuts can come off as well as the lower nut and bolt. The entire strut assy will come out with spring. DOn't worry, it won't fly out.

I thought I was alone. I searched but could not find any write-up. I need to change out my springs so I will do a write-up with pics when commit. The suspension sticky should contain instructions, but it does not.

Where can I get this tool? Would I need a spindle spreader tool to get the base of the strut out of the spindle? Do you still live in Houston? Thanks!

there are three bolts holding the strut to the spindle. two really small bolts that are right behind the disk, and one large bolt that requres a large hex.... so no spindle remover requried

Great to hear. Looks like exchanging springs will be easier than I thought.

no idea what spring pad that is but finally finished the front lastnight and the rears after the thunder storm this weekend. my 2003 had a 4 finger gap and is now down to 1.5 its awesome. hopefully the rears go easy.

you should really have a buddy help you, the more hands you have the easier the intall will go

What springs did you install stevenle21? Did you keep your OEM struts and shocks?

i bought h&r springs, they look really nice but the spring compressor tore up the outsides a bit. yep OEM struts and shocks, they still had some life in them. im too cheap to buy new stuff

all i did was compress the whole spring as much as possible then took the cap and spun it. theres so much pressure it spins it loose i guess, and when put it back together i just pushed the cap down again and started it by hand and the cap spun it tight till the bottem.
