Adjustable Dampner & Coilover settings
Hey Guys,
Since alot of people have coilovers now, I thought it would be helpful to start this thread. What settings do you have your dampners dialed in at and what ride height?
I was messing around with my KW V2's this weekend. Right now I have it one full turn from fully closed front & rear and ride height is 1 finger in the front and -1/2 finger in the rear.
Outcome = Ride is very stiff barely any travel when jumping up and down in the trunk. I can get used drive like this but I know my passangers will complain. I can't comment really on the handling yet since their was some traffic on the way to work, but I did catch myself entering turns at higher speeds making up in the lack of body roll.
I will adjust them again this weekend (the rears for sure), just curious as to what everyone else has theirs dial in at.

Wow, that sounds way too stiff.
I run my TIENS (with 16 settings) at
around 10 clicks from softest...
I need to check. I had them stiffer in the front and then backed off the fronts
by 2 clicks, which is a lot better. At least get some travel.
Too loose and it just gets bouncy.
How many adjustment points on the KW's?
I'll double check what my settings are, but I have coupe.
For fast driving on twisty roads, it definitely helps to tighten them up.

There are no real adjustment points on the KW V2's. They're basically infinitely adjustable until you hit full open/closed. Basically no click positions.
I run mine about 90% closed (Stiff). Yeah it rides like **** at times but handling is A+. The car rides great at soft but handling suffers greatly. I didn't buy V2's to have worse handling than stock so yeah....
There is a window of compromise but you'll have to find it on your own because each person will have a different opinion on what is tolerable.
Good luck.
