Ha, i'm not doubting having the car as much. This is a guy that asked "What does wax do to your car? How do i wax my car?" "I forgot to shift and my car hit the redline, is that bad?" The spelling and grammar were way off in the posts though as they are always. I hate to bash on people but i just can't resist sometimes.

Sheez it could be worse!
Phil have you priced this for the M3 yet??
$170 ain't bad at all. $1200 is horrible! damn! I had my rear pads replaced for $140 with the parts included (I bought the pads from the dealer and took it to an independent).

yeah, I did price it for the M3. it's actually why I got the M3 over the Cayman S (the monthly payments would have been about the same). the price is $0! gotta love free maintenance that includes free brakes!

well, tell him to try to replace the brakes himself... better yet, he should start off on the 2003 w211's with the sensotronic (sp?) brakes. next thing you know he'll be saying "I got my finger cut off! what's a caliper?"

that guy definitely has deserved the bashing after all the dumb things he's posted...

That's amazing!! I could seriously really use that.. I have to change my fronts at least every 8 months. I truly USE my car!

True, but doing the rear brake job can sometimes be a PITA... you'd have to reassemble everything together before you can reattach the brake caliper assembly.

Threading that long pin thru while pressing down on that flat metal piece... oh, what fun! Front brake job is much much easier to do.

Yup, all they did was swapped out parts... nothing to it really, NO need to turn your old rotors, flushing out the brake system hydraulic fluid is prolly NOT needed as well. So yea, $100 sounds reasonable!
