iPod Integration - Central Console - pLiZ HeLp
Hi,
I try to finish my "iPod integration".
But to make it really clean I just need to route the jack cable from the floor to the hashtray.
For that I need to route the cable inside the central console. But I can't find the way to have some room to pass the cable.
I tried to remove the 2 center bolts (between the cup holder and the shifter) but no effect... the central console is still solidely attached...
Does anyone could tell me what I have to do to dismount the central console (just to have enought room to route my jack cable)?
Thanks

The hashtray? Hmmm, that could get you arrested!
After you remove the ashtray you need to lift the front of the cover for the shift lever. Use a plastic or wood wedge at the front of the panel. There are two catches about 3/4" from the outside edge. Once this is up you can feed the wire from the floor up into the area you want.
You don't want to remove the console, it takes too long, and won't make the wiring easier.
