New Intercooler Install
I got the final design of the new intercooler in yesterday. The install was right on with no clearence problems. I have not Dyno'ed the car yet but I can feel a big diffrence above 3500 rpm.

It mounts behind the bumper if you look you can see the diffrence throught the grille, but it is not Honda like in that it does not look like the bumper it's self.

With the intercooler alone I dout I'll get 20 HP it would be a nice suprise. If I got a solid 10 and a longer power band I will be very happy. The coupe's power falls off the faster the S/C spins because of the extra heat porduced at high RPM's from the S/C. The intercooler will make it more effecent in the higher range. If you run tree dyno's back to back you will lose 8 HP or more from cold to hot operation. This will help in extended runs like autoX ect. Before the longer you would run the slower it would get. the larger intercooler has an thermal advantage over the high rpm heat from the S/C.

I'm debateing removeing the grille from in front of the bumper it is 1 1/2 in closer to the front now

I do not know about the 1.8 yet I will try and find out

I should have the priceing today getting the parts list priced out. It will be available for order in a week.

Looks like a nice unit Randy. Can it be installed without removing the bumper?
Do you plan on offering a combo package deal: Pulley, chip, intercooler? Please keep the price reasonable. You'll make it up on volume.

renncpe, have you developed a full ricer-style CAI pipe for the c-coupe yet? Because I'm sure the combination of CAI and intercooler will yield very respectable gains.

When you did the s/c pulley, did you use a pulley remover to remove the pressed on pulley and insert it with a pulley press/inserter? I'm curious because that seems to be the way it's done on Pontiac's, also with an Eaton s/c pressed on pulley. If that's the case it could open up opportunties for the new 1.8 motor.
