Phone Rant/Discussion
I dont understand why a top level tier of car manufacturer does not have an included Bluetooth phone until the 2008 models. I mean i have a 2006 car that looks like it is ready for a phone mount. It doesnt have the cradle or anything, but it has the antenna on the roof. Now in order for me to put any type of phone input its gonna cost me well over 1200 dollars. Cars like Acura/Honda get the option for less than 1k. Agros still isnt compatible for my car. Dont wanna say its embarrasing, but when peeps sit in my car and they see all this phone crap integrated in the radio they get all excited, and i get to say...it doesnt work. Also, why is it my Treo phone, which is cutting edge technology wouldnt be compatable with their system, yet i have to purchase a phone that is old as dirt that is twice as much as my Treo. Just a bit of a rant for something that is more of a luxury than a necessity.
MB should have this in all their cars, at least as an option. We should not have to fork out $2000 for a bluetooth cradle, that is ridiculous. And I'm sure as hell not going to downgrade my phone to some piece of trash that MB will support. I'd rather just not have an integrated phone in my car and continue to use my wicked cool cell phone, which is exactly what I'm doing now.
Oh and Argos for the 2005+ C-Class, I'll believe it when I see it. They'll have it eventually, but I'm not going to hold out for that, it could be a while yet.
