Here's the deal. It really depends if you want your car to look like "everybody else" or if you want it to be unique, but at the same time stylish and tasteful.

I like my car to look unique, but also stylish and tasteful. If you don't mind it looking like everyone else, then go with the c55 w/ carbon fiber lip.

very good points drex. i know the CF lip isnt very original anymore but here in vancouver there are probably less than a handful of them around. now, on a C55, there are maybe 2 (including mine).

like i said, i can go either way. hence the poll
lets see how it tursn out. i still have quite a bit of time before i need to give the bodyshop a decision.

the thing is the bodyshop said they will order it no problem and the chances of the insurance company catching this is unlikely but you never know.

My bad. Completely forgot you're not in L.A., cuz that definitely would be a big point if you were here. In that case, you can go either way and be super unique!

I love the look of both, but my preference would be the CLK 63 front end (actually I would go even crazier with the front end, but that's just me )...hence, the reason why my car doesn't have a body kit yet...LOL.

k, here is an update:

i got word from the bodyshop today that there is a chance the fenders + hood will not fit my car. he said the W209 parts might not be 'exactly' the same. is there any truth to this? as far as i know they were exactly the same as the W203 C55. i dont want to have any problems b/c those parts are not cheap and i would be on the hook for it if they dont fit.

any feedback would help. thanks.

unbolt yours get all of the measurements of each hooking points and the bumper itself. then try to locate a clk63 bumper and hopefully someone can take it off and do the same for you.

Got a call from the body shop earlier last week, my OEM C55 bumper has arrived. Since i couldn’t confirm whether the CLK63 bumper would fit or not i couldn’t risk ordering one. I am glad to say i didn’t! i spoke to a local SA the other day who is into mods and he told me he has had many inquiries about the same subject and he CAN confirm it does not fit with modification.

too bad, you couldn't do the CLK63 front end.
Understand the SA probably said it wasn't doable.
But anything is subject to modification. It all depends on how much $$$ you want to throw at it. Extreme custom modifications are done all the time.
It just depends on how bad you want it.

The CLK63 front would have definitely made this C55 unique !

Kinda like adding C-DTM modifications to a regular C-Class.
