Thanks for all the comments guys!!!
it’s nice to see all the comments when I wake up
btw, my car just turned 2 months last tuesday
so I’m slowly getting my mods done
progess has been pretty smooth right now
I’m hoping to get my windows tinted and getting rims in the future
but I’m just a student, so give me some time and I’ll get them done
I haven’t done any interior mods because I want to get all the cosmetic stuff done first
and also, the interior is really nice already
I just have a few stuff animals flying around in the back seat
The N sign is still on my car cause I just turned 19
so I gotta book my next road test soon
and yes, this is my first car
I’m very lucky to have it
and as for the pictures, my mommy told me it’s not safe to post my picture on the internet =P
my goal is to keep it simple and low profile but still good looking =]

14cue – I’ll start a meet after I confirm when I’m going to hk
lol I don’t wanna start a meet and then be gone
I wanna be there!!

WaveyKat - +1 on the “C” for crazy drivers, I need one!

Looking good. If you plan a meet sometime in May I'm in. I was surprised to see the N there, didn't realize MB made the trunks of sedans out of metal, on the coupe pretty much the whole rear end is some sort of plastic.....I had the hardest time figuring out where to put my N.....Oh well. Anyways , where do you go to school? UBC? SFU?

I'm glad we don't have those here in the US, because I would have one. But, if I wasn't required to have one, yeah, that would be fun to have so you could laugh at others.

yeah dude, they're ugly as hell. people make their own which i doubt is legal but as long as you display an N cops dont care. people make them match their car, i have seen many differnt colours but the Green one is the standard that is required.

no doubt eh. well, it's all new drivers so it's not dependent on your age. we also have "L" for learners. this is the first stage to getting your license. passing the knowledge test. you are required a big fat red "L" if you are out driving with your old man or friend when you dont have your license. once you get the "N" you must wait over a year then you book your Class "4" test. after that you no longer need it. i think they had this in place when i was 17 which was 8 years ago! i remember i got 4 tickets for not displaying it back in the day. i didnt care, it was too ugly. i finally gave in and got my class "4" a few years later...no way that would go on my benz even if i was a novice tho.

I'd have my license plate be NNNNNN just so I don't have to display something else. Or I could slap a Nos sticker on there with the N really big. The possibilities are endless...

I aint getting no tints before I get rid of my N... I usually put the N behind the back headrest (I used to put the N outside on the ML, and hell is it scratched..) But she puts her N outside of the car so it would be fine

As for the rims, I actually like those stock rims...

But then again, I love my rims =D I am gonna wait a year or two before I even begin to think about switching rims

Looks like a few other fellow Canadians have their license plate on. The cops might be sticklers of "no license' plates. If so, with the "N" stuck on the her rear....those might be easy targets for cops to pick on.

14cue....(Andrew right?) time to chime in.

just to clear a few things up

in Van/Richmond - if you own a Merc, have an N on, but not speeding like crazy, cops dont care much

losing the front plate - you get pulled over

it's "Terrence", but andrew is close enough :P

cops can be dicks when it comes to the front plate but i see a lot of cars w/o them as well. it really depends on your luck. i know guys who have been rolling w/o it for years have haven’t even received a warning. one of my buddies got his car for one day and he got nailed - just goes to show it's all about luck.

i didnt have a plate on my c230 when i got the bumper repainted and ran it for a good 3-4 months w/o any problems. after i get my C55 back i will not be putting a plate on. if i get caught i will drill 2 holes (not 6 like the dealer did!) and just put it back on for inspection then take it off and purchase 2 bumper plugs.

I'm sure there will be changes in the near future:
"N" (New/Novice) ~ C for Crazy
mommy = mom
legal ~ illegal (no plate; dark tint, speeding, etc.) j/k

Congrats on your ride and enjoy your mods!

They were actually talking about doing that in MN...I don't remember what it was that they were going to make you display though.. I'D FEEL DUMB! Glad I am not a new driver that's for sure!

So this probably sounds stupid but..when I went on my first trip ANYWHERE, to Arizona two years ago I was like these cars look different!!Then finally I thought, no front license plates...it was the most bizarre thing that I had seen. MN and Canada the only areas that make you have front plates hah?
