Does anyone know if it is possible to change the orange colour illumination for the interior gauges? Maybe some sort of bulb or led?

Dare I say: No, you can't. At least that's what a majority of the members here at MBWorld thinks.

I think it can be done. About two years ago some sort of "error" occured when I started up my 99 E55. The illumination for the gauges had a totally diffrent colour. Since this happened a couple of years ago Im not 100 % sure but I think they turned red. The next time I started up the car everything was back to normal.

Get yourself some tinted glasses. Then your gauges can be any colour you want when you look at them.

well when you unlock the tilt steering lever the VDO turns red. Thats a start.

But what about the rest of the instrument panel guages? The VDO changing colors is all fine and dandy, but it's not the whole story...

Thats why its a start, and not a finish. If we can get the whole thing to be red, I will be happy. Ever see the rsx at night? all red and it looks good
