2003 C230 Sedan
![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Sorry to beat a dead horse like this... but I have a can of CRC MAF cleaner waiting to be used, and have no idea where it's located. I have seen a pictorial for an older C230 coupe, but it doesn't look like my car's engine bay.
Could someone please point out where it is and how I can remove it? Here are some pictures of the engine bay. Is it that plastic grate looking thing I see when I remove the air filter? I was staring at it for a while but have no idea how to remove it. I'm obviously very mechanically inept. Thanks in advance for the help.

Your kidding right, you have 4 pictures of it and you don't know where it is?
OK, look at the back part of the filter box, the picture on the right, picture #4, that's it, that's the front of it. Picture #3 shows the top view of it with the electrical connector on top. Picture #2 shows the side view of it.
As for removing it, you'll just have to look all around and see how it's attached. I replaced a MAF on our SLK and an E320 but never on the M271 so I can't be specific.

Check the two small 90 degree hoses coming off the purge valve. I got a CEL with a P0455 major evap leak and found a slit hose on the hose forward of the purge valve, right under those stupid hose clamps!
