Actually I've heard of thieves stealing all the interior bits on very new cars. The reasoning is if the car is a new model they take all the interior bits and put it in storage there are very few spares available as this is not a common replacement item. Many times the cost to replace the interior ends up costing tons of money thus the insurance company writes off the car and the car ends up on auction. The thieves then buy back the car on auction at a very low price and later reinstall all the pieces and sell the car for profit and can do it easily as they have a clear title to the car.
Question how easy was it to remove the front seat covers and reinstall them as I am thinking of adding aftermarket seat heaters?
