The Differences?
Well guys,
I am a new here, n i am looking for MB. now i am aiming at C class W203.
the question what i am going to ask is what's the differences between ...
C230
C230 Kompressor
C320
I know the basic infos like kompressor is supercharge engine n C-numbers stand for liter of the engine, but not in detail.
my another question is i gonna drive that MB for daily, in that matter which MB would be suitable for me? n also i am seeking one 2003 C230 kompressor with price range 28k. is that a good deal? n i live in vancouver, remember van's cars r a bit more expensive then US car (a bit? wth ... let's say a lot!).
what's the difference between amg n kompressor? arn't they both supercharge engines?
Thanks ...

2005 Mercedes C230 Sport Sedan (W203)
Welcome to the forum. I was in your situation about 6-8 months ago before I bought my '05 C230 so I figure I can pass on some knowledge...
First off, you have the obvious differences pointed out: engine size. For the sedan series you have C230, C240, C280, C320, C350, C32 AMG, and C55 AMG. Each model is only available in certian years. For instance, 2005 had the C230, C240, C320, and C55 AMG. Certian options are only available on certian models as well, and others come stock on the more expensive models. Example: Sunroof is available as an option on all models. So is heated seats. Memory seats, in Canada, were not available in the C230.
The easiest way to find out which options were available on what model/year, is to use the WayBack Machine at http://www.archive.org and check out Mercedes' web site at the time they sold that car.
By the way, theres been a lot of flaming going on lately for not typing in full sentances, using MSN slang, misspelling words, etc, so it might help your case to take a bit more time in your posts...

Whats more important to you, looks or power? The c320 is the best out of the bunch for power, but most have the pre-2005 interiors and exteriors. A newer c230 will come with clear/xenon headlights, and a more sophiticated interior. I'm not sure if MB made a c320 with the updated package; that would be the best of both options.
Actually MB has something like that on thier site- really helpful its called the 16 year model overview. Choose a new model on the mbusa.com site and then goto features and specs- the link is there for the differnt years.
