Hey guys. I own a 2005 C230 with the H/K system. I wanna put subs and an amp in. I know there is a way to tap into the rear speaker wire...but i dont know where it is or how to. Ive searched.. but im totally lost. Also, is the cleansweep worth getting and how does one install it?

 

you can tap in before the H/K amp in the trunk...

the cleansweep is worth it, its only like $100

 

Ok.. the only problem is i am totally clueless to what wires are what and where things are possitioned. The mercedes is much better concealed and hidden than my other two cars were. I feel totally lost =S

 

take out the trunk liner and look for an amp

 

alright. Take it out by just popping out the clips right?

Then with the wire, how exactly should I go about tapping into it?

((I know i sound totally helpless.. and ill be honest, i kinda am. I am awsome at wiring brand new stereos on an aftermarket headunit, ive worked at a best buy doing it even...just this car is 1: to nice to mess up on, and 2: complicated >.<))

Don't take my car to Best Buy for a stereo install.

So I found the amp...now how exactly do you go about tapping into the wire bundling.


or... if i went and bought the cleansweep, does that connect to the wire harness at the headunit, or at the amp? I really dont wanna try and take out the headunit if it does...

 

Whats the "cleansweep"? I STF and nothing..
