If you're going through the trouble though, I'm not sure why you're not looking into the aftermarket for better units.
just follow the directions on this link to remove the cluster and the old head unit...

it appears that i did not need to purchase a wiring harness..... only thing im waiting to install is the gps antenna (on order)......... for me the nav was bascially plug and play......

- just messing with you.I'd say if Sunman/Steve can't come, try a high end stereo shop (in some way all electronics are the same - whether MB or Alpine), I'm sure they can install it for the basic radio/CD functions and make it work with your speakers. If the arrows don't appear, then take it to the dealership for programming - shouldn't take long so you save on their labor rate, in fact, they may do it free if they think your car came with it and is still under warranty.
