Question for Vancouver guys.
So my wife takes the car downtown and parks it downtown on denman street. She comes back to the car and the front bumper is dented, grill cracked etc, etc. A witness approaches her with all the info of the person who did it, including plate info (someone from the states).
Needless to say, it looks again like a near $2000 job! (just got fixed from the last hit and run).
My question is, does anyone know a good mercedes shop that would be willing to order me a 2005 bumper or AMG bumper through this claim (mine is 2001) if I gave them the job. Thoughts?

i don't know anyone per se but there's a guy on craigs list selling complete brabus kits for about 900, i'm sure if you talk to the shop they wouldn't have a problem using that kit instead of a new bumper as long as it isn't more expensive...i'm getting my glass replaced and my hood repainted on monday (following a gravel truck ) at mercedes collision in richmond and a fellow there called mike seems like a very reasonable guy. talk to him maybe he'll be able to help you

but i have a friend who is getting his C55 fixed at a benz body shop and they are willing to order him a CLK63 bumper under the same claim, so u might be able to get them to do that for u too. there info is as the following. but they have a long wait period, talk to them and see what they can do for u good luck.

hey man i know how u feel, some ppl have no respect for other ppl's car, u should see my rear bumper all i got so many nicks and scratches that its just dam annoying.

initally they gave me a ford taurus b/c discount rentals only had one car left. i complained and they said they would get a charger and a magnum the next week. i called and they didnt have it so i went in and got a PT cruiser. so i have been rolling in that for the last 3 weeks.
dont expect much.
i was driving my boss' range rover for 3 weeks before i got a courtesy car and i needed to bring it in for servicing and found out MCL motors only lends out ford focus. we have it good at mercedes.

damn i'm dropping off my car tomorrow at mercedes richmond!!! i don't wanna end up driving a camry though...do they have benz loaners? even ift was a b class i still would take it over a camry

Guys wanna hear something sad? My rear bumper just got victimized 2 days later by another hit and run on commerical drive last night. I'm not letting my car out of Richmond anymore!

I haven’t had to get a loaner from any dealer yet, its the body shop (independent from the dealer) that gave me my Toyota.
Just a tip to anyone considering using the Mercedes Richmond body shop: My car was supposed to be done in about four days. That was their original estimate. But because of delays in receiving parts, tomorrow will mark the start of week 3 that they've had my car.
Next time you have to take your car in, don’t bother dropping it off until all the parts have arrived (unless your car isn’t driveable anyways). I could have been driving my Benz these last 2 weeks, dropped it off now, and still get it back at the same time... frustrating.

the rule of thumb i have is always leave a lot a space between ur car the the car behind/front of u. on the weekends my car is always in downtown parked along the street. but i always watch where i park, never in a bad area.
i'm not saying that my car has not been hit it has, but what i have come to realize that if some idiot is going to hit your car, there is nothing u can do about it no matter where u park if it going to get hit its going to get hit. so the bottom story is life is a B**** ppl are idiots. u just have to live with it.
