Not at all. Its a gas the makes the color. Not all are going to be the same. For instance, my hids are 8k, but look Really really aqua green. And Cloudz has the same kit, and Kelvin, and his look very blue. So no they wont look alike. But when you look at the Kelvin chart, the color changes ever fraction of Kelvin.

He is correct. My hids and fogs are the same Kelvin, but my fogs look whiter than my headlamps do. They are close, but not exact.
