Opinion on rims and lowering

Ok... so i need all of your opinion on something. I have always wanted rims, but my intention is to keep it looking clean to the point that it won't look "aftermarket"... but still look good. I have never found rims that I was totally in love with, but I've always liked the 2007 c230 sport rims. should I:

1. get the 17'' 2007 c230 sport rims (which will be half the price of buying 18's)
-and lower my car later

2. wait and save up for 18's (end up paying more than twice as much)
-and lower at the same time... but this will happen much later than (1)

3. just lower now with my 16 inch stocks and save up for 18's later

Please enter in the poll above

Attached are two pictures... one of a forum member with the 2007 sport rims on his coupe.. and the other of my coupe bone stock with the rims that are on it now.

**some of the main reasons i would want the 2007 sport rims is because it would keep my car looking new, looks bigger than 18's, and has a more of dimension to them compared to most rims.

if you dont really want that 'aftermarket' look, go with springs and the '07 wheels. however on the otherhand, if your looking to get 18's then dont waste your time and money with getting 17's/oem's.

save up and wait. whats the rush?!

Second that I do like the car in the first pic,you should detail your car to match it.

i just dont know if 18's will make much of a difference... basically i was trying to see if forum members like the 2007 sport rims enough to consider not buying aftermarket rims. (especially when a good deal is at stake)

**also, the price of the 17's are basically the price of a new set of tires. so if you take into account mounting and balancing plus the new set of 18's... we're talking close to 1000 dollar difference between the options
