Unhappy Viabration & Noise when Start Engine “Plz Help”

Hello..

I feel dispointed with my C240 sometimes, before two month I take my C240 to the agnet to fix a noise in my car, but they didn’t do anythings even they didn’t discover where is the noise from “Bad Agent in UAE”.

Any way before one week till now I hear nosie comes from the engine when I start the engine also viabration that the doors moves and all can feel this when they saw the car, the noise turn off after few menits from starting the engine but the viabration still and it comes high when the gear on R or D also when turn left or right…!!!L…
I am sure if I take my car to the agent they will spend one month to fix it and the result they will not do anythings the same as they did with me beforeL>>> I hate the agent of MB in UAE for the service they give.

I wish I can get some advices from you guys on whats going on with my car, just guess why this happen.. also did anybody have the same problems.. I wish no..

Best wishies for new year,,,

Mine too!

I actually began noticing this after a while from cold morning startups that my C 240 also does have this really deep sound resonating from the rear when reverse out of my driveway. It does go away after sometime, but sometimes its really bad! What causes this and how could I fix it!? Anyone else with this problem?

Good news chaps

I lived in Dubai for a period of 18 years (on a footnote – owned a E320 in Dubai). Anyhow, I do own a C240 2002. Never the less I am going to fast-forward to the issue. Now that I am back home in Canada with another Benz, I believe that I had a similar issue. I want to be very clear and state that the vibration you mention was not that severe in my case. Never the less, my issue was with the purge valves. The car sounded like a bloody diesel in morning and on some occasions during the day. It has been an issue with MB W203 models. Never the less, they have increased the bushings and changed the purge valves. Its now perfect – no more vibration and tapping sounds! Please do review www.edmunds.com - town hall, Mercedes, C-class and do a search “purge”- should have a lot of more useful information.

Question – how much did you buy your C240 for and tell those fellows down there that there is a service bulletin issued, pertaining to this problem.

HELP!! "delay" in order to start engine!

HELP!! "delay" in order to start engine!
Anyone experience this, or know what's wrong, how to fix it?

My problem is:
If I try to start engine by quickly turning key to position #3 (crank position), it crank once, then it shuts off.

Normally, I can turn key to position #3 quickly, then engine starts immediately.

Currently, I have 2 workaround:
Workaround #1. Turn key to position #2 and leave it there for a few seconds (Normal On position), then I can quickly turn key position #3 & let go. (crank position), and engine will start immediately.

Workaround #2. Turn key to position #3 and HOLD for few seconds, then it will start on second time. (First, it will crank and die. Then nothing happens for 6 seconds. Then it will crank again and start engine normally. Then I release my key and return to ON position #2.

Many Thanks!!

car having trouble start?

it hasnt been too cold out lately, about 50's and when i go to start my car, it sounds like its hesitating. like it chugs a lot more before the engine actually starts running and if i even rev it a little before waiting the 20 seconds for the rpm's to settle down below 1k, the engine chugs and the car shakes a little until i start it up again. is this normal?

lol yeah exactly.
i think its just a cold start, except its not even cold out. does 'cold start' not necessarily mean its cold out, just that the engine has been idle overnight?

Seems to happen frequently to me lately after overnight.
I park on an incline, maybe condensation in the exhaust?
Related to the header?

If it gets off on the wrong foot, chugging, I turn if off and restart.
It always starts perfect the 2nd time.
