Hi,

I have a W203 coupe I recently purchased and have a few questions. I just bought a '05 grill but noticed that the mounting points are different from the 02'-04' style grill.

mnbenzl.com has the whole '05 update package for sale and they say it will all fit any '02-'04 bodystyle so i'd like to know how becuase I plan to buy all the other '05 update components aswell and would like to know if there's going to be any other conflicting mounting issues.

Before I start getting "STFF"s from people I already have searched around here and havent found anything that helps.

Oh, and my coupe is a '02 Citron Green with 35% tint and I live in Alameda, CA.

Obviously, you didn't search hard enough.

MBenzNL states that the '05 Coupé Grill will fit with slight modification to the mounting points. I know for a fact that both myself and Citron03C230K have posted numerous times on how to make the '05 Coupé grill fit on the '02-'04 Coupés.

The other items in the '05 update package (side mirror blinkers and taillights) will fit just fine.

You'll need a good dremel, and steady hands. Its worth it though...the 05 Evolution grille is sooo much better looking...I painted mine a darker pewter color. THe stock bright silver is just too much against the silver body work, 'liquid' silver paint on the rims.

it requires some dremmeling to fit the 05 grille to 02-04.

such as the center lock, dremmel the whole thing out, then the mounting thing on each side of the grille, dremmel it to make it looks like the 02-04 grille. you'll know how to do when you take off ur old grille and compare to ur 05 grille

Don't feel bad I didn't realize you had to modify the 05 grills either...but now that I know...time to order!
