Service A in Southern California
I travel for business in southern California, so SD, Orange, LA counties are all equally convenient.
Any recommendations? What did you pay, and where in S Cal?
Thanks.
Oh...this is in northern CA but Smother's European A service $190

The one I had gone to for 2+ years was gone, and this guy turned out to be a moron. Now I have the name of a "good" SA at MBSD, so that shouldn't happen again.
But now in actuality, it turns out to be a good thing, since I'm going to get a stock Dyno, then pulleys, headers, ignition wires & other goodies, before sending the RENNtech ECU in for flashing again. Should add a bunch of ponies under the hood on my 3.2L V6.

unless there's something suspect in their checks/repairs that the Tech has to go in and reset the ECU. Although this was not the case in my circumstance, it is possible that it could happen. That's why I imply that you should really know your Service Advisor so to avoid any inconvenience such as this.

Service B 399.95$+tax+waste disposal fees
-apply to 4, 6 cylinder vehicles.
i'm due for Service B in 1600miles, any other MB dealers do Service B cheaper in bayarea, CA?
They do pretty much everything the same, they're fast, and they use OEM filters, etc. The manager's name is Terry and the owner's name is Sam. Pricing isn't the best, but $219 for Service B is pretty fair. I think I might hit up Laguna Hills next time.
House of Imports seems to be a little too high. Bill Chow, one of the service advisors there, quoted me $289 all-in. I guess the extra $70 pays for your coffee, car wash, snacks, and cable TV in the waiting room.

I dug this up somewhere. I think it was over in Benzworld.
I should start a Mercedes service center. If I could charge $200 and $400+ for these kinds of services, why even sale the damn cars? Dealerships make money on selling services anyway. There is no profit in new car sales. You could do this no-handed. The 'B' service is a bit more, but nothing a Saturday morning wouldn't take care of. These are just inspections.....notice if it needs replacement it costs more. Herr Beck's Autowerke is now open. I'll put some good looking certificate things on the wall, charge $150 for an 'A' Service (the oil change is $50 doing by yourself anyway) and wear a nice jumpsuit to perform all the maintenance. Maybe wear a ski mask as well, since technically I am robbing people!
