The sky in some of the pics is the only thing I might point out (a little blown out due to the dark colored cars) but everything else looks a-okay. If you insist on a new camera, any Canon dSLR with L-lenses.

I'm looking at those - I'm torn between a 30D and a D200. I'll probably need one soon to help out the sis with her talent photos as well (instead of paying some schmoe for them every time).

Remember once you're in too deep with either camera there's no turning back. 
The color red from Nikons look really good. Disadvantage with the Nikon is that high ISO quality isn't that great.
What do your friends shoot with? That might dictate which camera you get. All of my friends are Canon guys and we borrow lenses from one another so that played a role in my decision.

The only guy that's got a DSLR in our little "circle of friendship" 
is Frank... with a D70S I believe, but I've been talking to a few independent camera stores and leaning towards the 30D.

Ok, you guys deserve major praise. I have never been into modding cars, and I still wouldn't do it to my own, but your cars look incredible! These pics have definately changed my opinon a bit!
