Has anyone ever had an airconditioner stop working on a C240?
There's airflow but it's luke warm air, so I think the compressor is broken or it has a leak.
There was a high pitch whistling for a few months, and then it stopped producing cool air all together.
Does anyone know what kind of repair this will require?
Any info will be appriciated!!

Dunno what the problem could be but mines not workin either. Guess just take it to the dealer cuz it could be anything from a broken compressor, to a leak to just ran out of liquid.

 

That happened to my AC too. My mechanic put a dye in the system to find any leaks, and I think that is what the problem is.

 

yeap, mine had a high pitch whistle for a while as well, and my AC doesnt work, just warm air, have you notice your "AC OFF/REST" button stay constantly lit?

 

Yes that button is constantly on for me. Even when pressing it, it still stays lit.

 

yeap. same here, its a "code" that means somethings wrong with the AC.
