Thanks for checking and the update.

Please provide any updates on the new Amsoil MB 229.5 oil development.

C350 has the M272 engine, right? To my understanding, with the combination of fleece oil filter, I can use 229.51 spec oil, no?
which car has the M273 engines?

C230 Sport Coup + 2006 W164 ML350 + 99 Ford Escort (What the heck, it gets 38 mpg!)
The old fleece vs. paper issue again...
I ordered filters a couple months ago from Duval,
and got the 1041800109 filter which appears to be yellow paper.
Currently that pn lists sells for $8.19.

But if I go through the menu's and find it for the 2002 C230, I get
a filter that costs $10.92.

Oddly in the list of items when I just use the PN I don't see 2002 C230, but I do see it listed for up to 2004 SLK230. I don't know if they've just raised the price, or if the one for 10.92 is the fleece one.

Anyone have the pn for the fleece one? Does it really matter?
Where does it say to use the fleece filter?

I see in other threads that the fleece filter is part of what allows the 13K mile interval, but what came out of the car when I did the oil change last was the same as what went in, doesn't look like the pics above of the Mann.
How can you tell if it's fleece or paper?
