AndySays' C350 Modding Thread

Ok, now I have officially jumped on the whole "do your own personal thread" bandwagon so I guess I'll just start posting pics of my slowly developing C Class. But still, I hope you guys enjoy

Here's a pic of it stock the day after I brought it home (well... I got it tinted right after I drove off the lot )

2-3 months later and looking through the forums, the mod bug started bitting

Euro Spec Bi-Xenons from MBenzNL. It is like night and day with these lights

Included are some 6000k D2S and PIAA extreme city lights (thanks Drex and Jose)

OEM Flat Hood badge (its gonna be replaced with a DFWDude White Flat Star badge later)

Speed Innovation ECU Tuning

Sorry its not a pic of my own, I forgot to take a pic

6000K HID Fogs
(here's a comparison pic of stock and hid's, sorry it was with a camera phone)

Here's a pic with all the lights at night

Euroteck Carbon Fibre lip

(I did say I was gonna jack a pic from you Jose! )

I wouldn't say a BIG improvement since its already a pretty powerful and fast car but its an improvement none the less. Heck, at least I now know that I can drive 160+ mph if I wanted to, I already hit 155 mph I dont encourage anyone doing this but I saw a nice and long straight that was smooth, I couldn't help my self

So far I'm thinking of:
  1. Euro impact strips
  2. Bored throttle body (like Drex's)
  3. Brabus steering wheel
  4. Sway bars, maybe Brabus
  5. New wheels, maybe from Blake's GB if I have enough
  6. Coil overs maybe
  7. MB Ipod kit
  8. MB phone kit w/ bluetooth
  9. and some misc interior stuff

Then we can have a user profile thread section in one of Drex' official threads! .

nice! - i'm a bit envious.

BTW - I just had new brake pads put on. Decided on the EBC RedStuff. So far so good, although they aren't bedded yet (litterally got them a couple hours ago). One thing to note is that most sites have the WRONG pads listed for the C350. The C350 uses the exact same pads on the C32/C55.

Same pads really? Too bad that the C32/C55 rotors are slightly bigger than our C350's

i don't think so. I think the front brakes are the exact same as the C32/C55. The rear brakes are different however.

No. I talked with Jose about his C32 BBK upgrade and he said that I can't use the C32/55 rotors because it's like 1/4-1/2 inch bigger or so. I'll check it out again when I have the time

while the 2-piston C230 sport brakes does in fact use a slightly smaller rotor, I'm pretty certain the C350's have the same exact 13.6" rotor found on the C32/C55.

I'm hoping you C350 guys don't share the same brakes as the 2004.5 C-Classes. Why? I've had both sets of brakes on my car and 04.5 4-POT setup rotors are slightly smaller than the 4-POT C32 setup rotors.
