Tomorrow is Spring Cleaning...
I am going to detail the C (and the SL) tomorrow. I am planning on doing a clay bar and wax. I am not in the mood to spend a fortune on fancy stuff, so any opinions on the best stuff to use from Pep Boys would be great. I am likely going to use the Mother's Clay Bar and the fancy Turtle Wax or Meguiar's liquid wax.
I also have a set of lighted door sills if anyone wants them. Just pay shipping because I didn't like the way they looked.
Thanks
Mike

I've had good luck with Meguiars and Zymol (the cheap Zymol ) although I've switched to Zaino for the hot weather here in Phoenix.
I just did my car too a couple days ago
good luck and post pics!!!!!

as for the stuff from Pepboys, I use the Meguiar's NXT Wash, then Meguiar's Quick Clay (I think that's what it's called) and then Meguair's NXT Tech Wax (use the Paste Wax since you have black and the liquid wax tends to get into the crevices of our car and then it'll and that dried up wax is a pain to take off).
oh btw, buy the Meguair's applicators (they look like white microfiber sponges), it makes waxing a tad bit easier.

+1 on that one. Just did my car this past weekend. Took me 12 hours (7:30am - 7:30pm). I dawn washed, hand dried, clay bar'd, then Z7 car washed, hand dried again, Z2 polish/swirl remover, Z6 gloss enhancing spray, then Z5 waxed it, then Z6 again. Then it was off to the wheels....at least 15 mins for each: washed, shoved my hand in the holes to fully clean the inside of each rim (and, in the process, shred my knuckles on the sharp brake sheild), hand dried, waxed rims, then applied Zaino's tire gloss enhancer. Finally, I chrome polished the exhaust tip. Whew.

Call Mike at Meguiars and see if they are having "Open Garage" on Wed. evening. Well worth a trip to Irvine. You can try many of their products, and get good advice on what is required to get maximum results for your paint situation. You might not need clay at all. Wash your car at home, cause they are not allowed to wash, just polish.
