Spark Plugs - 05 C230 - Suggestion

Hi everyone.

Just wondering if I could get your suggestions. I currently own a 2005 C230k sedan (M271)

According to the maintence manual, its telling me that i need to change my spark plugs at 78k miles.. right now im at 76.5k. HOwever, I was getting price quotes from a few STEALERships on sparkplug replacement and all 3 mbz dealers are telling me that i dont need to change them til 100k.

Any suggestions? Should i change em at 78k or just wait til 100k. If i dont change them til 100k, whats the worst that can happen?

I've got Denso's in mine. Felt the difference immediately.

I bought the spark plugs (I think around $30 total at Auto Zone or Pep Boys) and one of my friends helped me change them. Not that difficult. The only one that is a little challenging is the closest plug to the fuel line (closest to the front). Took 10-15 minutes.

Drex and I have the same plugs - Denso Iridium IX IK20s - I've sinced changed my plugs twice (every 15K miles from when I first changed out the stock plugs). ~$40. Installation is cake if you've got the tools.

You'll most likely find them at Autozone.

Denso is proud of those plugs. Last month, they were $12.95+ each from AZ.
And I needed 12 of 'em! It does run a little crisper though.
