Also, anyone know the distance between each light on the real brabus puddle lights? Thanks.

Also just put the 05 grille on thanks to Kev and Rlee. Pics to come soon...

Hey guys, I found a shop specializing in Mercedes-Benz my cars in getting my wipers fixed. So far the guy seems really nice an honest. He is charging about 140 bucks for 2 hours of labor. He said that if I needed a new wiper motor, it would be 350 installed, but when he looked at it real quick this morning while I was there, he said it looks like just a bolt was loose. Those sound like pretty good prices to me, i think. And I think he said Service B would be a little over 300.

If I get my car back early enough today, I might try to get my JleviSW puddle lights installed...its gonna be really difficult....

Im about halfway done installing my puddle lights, I'll be finishing in the morning...I have a question...I need to tap the rear dome light, and the set comes with the clips to tap the wires. Now the wires on the rear dome light have that black cloth wrap thing around them. Do I just cut that off so I can get to the wires more easily??

Could anyone give me a little specification on how to do this? Never tapped wires before..

Hey just finished installing the puddle lights...I didn't have my camera with me today but I'll take pics tonight or as soon as I can.....I did it in a warehouse garage bay, so when I shut the door and lights, everything worked perfectly...can't wait to see them on the pavement tonight...tough install for me since I'm not the best electrician, but took about 6-7 hours over 2 days...not sure how bright these are going to be outside at night, but we'll see....pics to come

HAHA...it would take less time to do it again for sure...its the JleviSW puddle lamp system..i didnt use all of the angling brackets or any of that, I drilled holes and then screwed them right into the bottom of the side skirt so they are flush...can't really see the assemblies unless your looking for them...all in all, for me, I think I did a fantastic job...I needed to use extra wiring cuz I couldnt put wires under the car because of the two exhaust pipes running all the way the length of the car or wutever....I wired it basically benhind the fenders and through the engine bay and the hood and down the other fender...

Update on JLevi puddles: I haven't really kept them hooked up because they stay on dimly, and emit a light greenish color at night, lol. I bought 25ohm 25watt resistors from superbrightleds. However, even with the resistors they stay dimly lit. Not sure what to do next?? If I take pictures of the connections does anyone think they could help? I just hooked up only one resistor to the positive and they appear to be less dim, but I'll really be able to see in a couple hours.....

Another issue:

I just checked my fuse number 47 which is the cigar lighter AND glove compartment light....as I posted previously something happened to my glove box light when i was switching a bulb and hasnt worked since...also, my cigar lighter does not work (no rim light or functionality)...since the fuse is fine could the lighter not be working because of the glove box thing?? I'd like to try and figure this out so I can charge my phone on the road. TIA for any input..

ive always thought the blacklight mod was cool...but i wanna ask...isnt it kinda....revealing? every bit of dust and crap in your car shows up, and people look wiered and greenish...right? is it combersome? or not because its lonly right before you get out of the car?

Well the blacklight domes aren't on all the time, so its kind of hard to tell. I've had them on a few times while driving and have never noticed any dust or lint....It looks good, except they do not function perfectly when the car is off. The LEDs actually turn off after about 5-6 seconds maybe, which is mind boggling because on everyone else's car they remain dimly lit or work perfectly. However, they work perfectly on mine when the car is running, so when I pick people up or open the doors when the car is running, I love it...

EDIT: you get the real white effect on white colors, but it doesnt seem to be any near as severe as an actual blacklight where stuff turns green...

The blacklight LEDs are from superbrightleds.com. I believe they are the 39mm UV Festoon. (Might be 42mm, I forget, either one should work). Just a few bucks for each one.....Keep in mind, apparently these vary in how they work from car to car...advan's work perfectly fine, mine shut off, either way, they're cheap and doesnt burn a hole in your pocket....Check out the blacklight LED thread.

Yeah once you get some mods going, its all good to start your own thread, keeps the forum clean from redundant questions and threads, cuz at least if you ask a known question, you'll get flamed in your own thread, lol...I'm still new, but read read read the threads, you will learn alot like I have, and you learn more each day. Its fun.

If you want chrome, i'd go with something like some chrome AMG or Brabus Mono IV reps.

lookin sharp! question about the interior LEDs though, i know that the city lights and liscence plates dont take to LEDs without a resistor, did you need a resistor for your interior lights, id like to put all white LEDs on the interior lights in my car...

The interior LEDs I don't have a resistor, however, if the car is not running the LEDs turn off quickly within 5 sec. If the car is running, they function perfectly...my car is weird I guess, lol, because I guess they work perfectly either way in a lot of others' cars.

And about the sig! When I have time, maybe tomorrow, I'd like to go to the same location for the pic, but for the meantime, I'll change it....thanks!
