Yeah, instead North America gets redneck politicians that hold up photos of smart cars in hearings and say "if you have emission controls for SUVs and make them subject to CAFE, we'll all be driving something like this". That's a threat? I'd LOVE to have a smart roadster or cabriolet!
I see no reason why those damned SUVs and pickups are exempt from safety, emissions and fuel economy standards that apply to cars.
It's the last stand of the US land yacht. I thought the 59 Caddy de Ville was bad, but it's got nothing on an Excursion.
