Question realistic discount on a 2007 C280

Since the C300's are coming out relatively soon, the 2007's should be ready for a bit of savings. How much off of sticker have folks around here gotten off of their C's.

My wife and I are looking to pick up a new car, and she likes the C280. I'm just trying to get a feel for what sort of discounts are realistically out there.

Thanks in advance to anyone that'll share they're purchase info.

of course...but that's not the point

I know what the websites like carsdirect.com and edmunds say, but I figured some people here might be apt to sharing their experiences and what sort of deal they were able to get for theirs.

Afterwards, equipped with this info, I presume to be equipped to get the best deal possible.

2010 GLK350
My wife just bought the 2007 C280 and we got $1500 CDN off the suggested list price.
But this is the Avantgarde Edition and comes fully loaded (No options).
I tried pricing out the options and it came out to approx. $50k and we paid $42k (plus tax and PDI).
We think we got a good deal...

Here is the link to the car ( http://www.mercedes-benz.ca/index.cfm?id=6528 )

If you are buying a car that's sitting on THEIR lot, try to get even $4,000 off. I'm sure as weeks go by they'll have to get those cars out of their lots.

C230 Sport Coup + 2006 W164 ML350 + 99 Ford Escort (What the heck, it gets 38 mpg!)
I got a coupon in the mail for $4588 of MSRP on 2007 C230 at Autobahn Motors.
Not 280, but looks like they're wanting to clear out the W203's.

it is not visually different to a luxury edition. It is basically luxury edition with blue tint, black wood and 7-spoke rims.

Their offer

Yeah, it's sitting on their lot.

The MSRP was 37,065. My first offer was 34K, which they rejected. So we walked out. I was thinking honestly that somewhere between 2,500 and 3K off wasn't an unreasonable amount, considering that they need to clear the W203's out.

So if I go back and say 34.5 I'm not being totally unreasonable. Wish we could wait for the C300's, but you know what they say...you only live once.

Where did someone get a C350 out the door for 37K ?!? I'll drive there if that's the kind of deal we can get.

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
The C350 has a $ 4,000. cash to dealer incentive this month. They can subtract that from invoice, and still make money. Take 7K from MSRP and round down to the nearest thou. Should be around 35K plus tax and license.
