Arrow Cargo Net install...

I bought the MB cargo net for the w203 ... How the hell do you install this thing in the coupe?

Can someone post pics?

I looked at the diagram and it seems like you would have to force what is included in that bag to install properly

I have these plug style inserts and the hooks for the net but they seem to large to fit in the cut outs that are currently present...

Took it to the dealer... yeah no idea how to do it either. They even went thru the trouble of calling another dealer to find out if I was missing a part or something... no luck there...

So I have had a cargo net in my trunk for a month but its useless.

the plugs have screws inside them. the rubber gasket expands as you screw it in, as that is what holds the hook to the bodywork. push really hard while screwing them in and you'll get it to fit. make sure the rubber gasket is not expanded before you screw it in... try and unscrew the hook from the gasket and you'll see what i mean.

Session is right. Remove the two top plugs and screw in the replacements. I eventually had to tap them in with a rubber mallet to get them seated properly.

The clips at the other end hook onto your "D" rings. Lift up your cargo mat and slip the rings through the slots in the carpeting.

Good luck.

And don't load up the net with more than one pound of stuff.

The fasteners will pull out of the back wall very easily. I've just given up on mine, and got a Weathertech liner instead. Seeing how nice it looks in Columbus' car several times made me decide to switch. Anyone want a cargo net?

It's the mounting as the cargo net works very well in my C320 wagon and holds many bags of stuff from shifting with vigorous travel.

Kal, do you have the one that attaches to all D-rings in the corners? That's a much better design than the one that we have.

I had this net for a while, but stopped using it when I got my collapsable crate for the trunk! This cool device ships with the C-class wagons (stores under the rear floor). When collapsed, it is about 12" x 18" x 1", when open, the 1" dimension goes to about 12". I tie it to one of the D-rings so it does not move around in the trunk.

Best of all, it is an MB factory device and sells for only $14 at your local (friendly?) dealer.

The net I have attaches to the 4 D-rings on the floor or to the 2 on the rear seat; I use the former. Also, the collapsible crate comes in handy. After all, I bought the wagon to carry STUFF!
