Casette adapter HELP!
Casette adapter HELP!
Hey guys..
How do you (if any of you do) fit a casette aux adapter into the slot? The adapter goes in properly, but when I have to close the LCD screen, i cannot properly. Damn wire keeps obstructing, making that annoying sound come because the screen is not closed properly.
Which angle do you have the adapter going thru? Is there a way to disable the beep noise?
TIA,

This is what you have to do. On the cassette screen, to the right is a little notch that pushes the door open pin in. you will want to align the wire with ontop of this notch. When closing the screen, the wire will give the notch the extra mm to push in the pin, resolving your door open sound. this is what i used to get my ipod stuff to work. Hope it helps.

Edit: Anyone know how much the oem radio for +05 (I think..the 2din model) models are? The one with the stock CD in it? Is it compatible with my 03?

What I ended up doing was stripping off the outer wire cover of the adapter with a knife about where the screen would close on it (about a half-inch from the adapter for about an inch). Since the inner two wires are smaller, the LCD closed comfortably with the wire running out from the left side of the screen. An alternative is to find the tape adapters that use flat ribbon wires akin to telephone wires, but they're somewhat hard to find.
