The Best of Mercedes & AMG

you can see in the pic the bilstein perch only has the threaded part and a metal stop, but it does not have the metal block like other coilovers such as the tein, h&r, or kws which lets you put the perch on top of the spring and replaces the rubber pads.

I just got off the phone with Darren from CarLab and he started laughing when i told him about the perch being ONTOP of the spring. he asked me were did i get that idea from
..he told me the way i have it is the way it should be with the pss9 THE PERCH ON THE BOTTOMSO (a) my shop told me the perch should be on the bottom , because thats how they install the bilstein on some other cars
(b) i called up Bilstein and told me the same thing . that theres no way that the perch can be on top of the spring
and (c) i called up CarLab and like i said, he was laughing. lol
SO NOW WE KNOW THAT THE PERCH FOR THE PSS9 SHOULD BE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SPRING.
i paid the labor and spacer + bolts all together for 400
go see the picture i took of side to side of the bolts im useing for my spacers and the other bolts
