FYI: Spring drop summary...
To make it easier to find, I have summarized the drop from the springs mentioned in the "Eibach Height..." thread.
Brand = Front, Rear, Pad#
----------------------------------------
Stock = 26.24, 25.25, #1
Eibach = 25.5, 24.5, #4
H & R = 25, 24, #1
RENNtech = 25.25, 24.25, #?
Vogtland = 25.5, 24.5, #4
* This difference in height between the #1 pad and #4 pad is about 15mm(.59").
** RENNtech spings = Apex
It would be nice if we could add the results from Kleemann, Brabus, Carlsson or any others.

The Eibach result don't seem work out. I thought Eibach's had the least amount of drop; and you factored in the 1/2 inch additional height with the #4 spring pad.

Actually, I don't like the measurement technique. These measurements are from the floor to the under side of the wheel well, which has the tire/wheel size combo in play. Even if the same wheels are used, tires' running diameters do vary. 1/4" to 1/2" would not surprise me.
I would rather see the drops measured from the wheel center to the top of wheel well, taking the tire and wheel out of the equation.

Yes, you can change which spring pad is on your car.

I don't think any of the W210 owners on this board have tried the Vogtlands. I have them on my C230K and would say they are not quite as stiff as the H&R. I think it varys by car model because some of the VW guys say the springs are much stiffer than the H&R. For the price, it can't hurt to try them.
