I have shipped cars in the past but this is the first time i have sent one this far. I have dealt with the ocean transit company before but never land and ocean shipping. I am having my car 02 c320 shipped via DAS in a couple weeks. Has anyone had experience with the company? They are dropping it off at Horizon lines in long beach to be shipped to honolulu, so i will not see the vehicle before it is shipped here with the other company. Im worried that if it arrives here with any damage it might be hard to pursue a claim due to it going through two seperate companies. I am having a friend prep the car since it has been kept at his house since i moved, is there anything in particular he should do before they pick it up? The car will be in "transit" for 25-30 days. Anyone?
