Child Seats

Hello Everyone

I am currently in the process of selling our '01 Jetta and looking for a something a roomier in the back. I test drove the C230 and loved it (yes a bit under powered, but power isn't everything). Can an infant seat fit behind the driver or the passenger with out moving the front seats forward?

Thanks

It should. It is pretty much the same size as a 4-door Jetta.

Unfortunately with the Jetta we have to use the middle of the back seat. If use the sides (driver or passenger) you have to move the seats almost all the way forward. I was hoping the C230 has a bit more room in the back.

I got rid of my wifes 2001 Jetta VR6 because the back seat was just way too small to fit a child seat...you can see we just had the baby in this picture..

The car seat has much more room in the c230...although most of the time, the kid rides in the Murano.

You should be good to go! Plus it has the latches, so it's a little safer than the VR6.

OH... the 15th congratulations - Ours is 3 months old and we are starting to sleep 6 hours minimum every night so hang in there . We are planning a second one by end of the year so I wanted to make sure that we can fit two seats in the back with out moving the fronts..

Thanks for the info

It really depends on how tall you are. It definitely can't fit rear facing behind the driver's seat if I'm driving and I'm 5'10'' so you may want to rethink 2 infant car seats back there... so we use the SUV a lot instead.

Once you can turn the seats around you will have more space.
