BTW, mods listed in your sig that may marginally improve performance from a 16 second car to a high 15 second car does not qualify as "heavily" modded either. At least Shake is smart enough to recognize performance mods on a C230K wouldn't be a great value for gains vs money paid.

ah you know what, i was thinking about it last night, and you guys were right, i was being a dick, so shake, sorry about all that.... my problem isnt with you, its my frustration with the nature of the board. i get frustrated when i see the modification threadss getting a bunch of useeless replies of "very nice looks good" and the performance-oriented, or even pioneering-style "i'm thinking of something new or different here" get so little effort.

everyone sits here and critisizes my car and my huge "look at me" style signature? my signature isnt over the top at all. in fact, its suited perfectly for my 19" widescreen, and was thinking that since not everyone has a monitor with this resolution, my signature might me two rows deep instead of one. that is completely besides the fact that i didnt claim to have a "real performance" car because i put on a s/c pulley, methanol/water injection, and an intake and muffler. im failing to see where i made my claim to fame.

hwever, if you want to break it down- $300 s/c pulley, $250 muffler, $260 for methanol injection, and $50 for the air filter- thats under $1000 installed for a serious power boost. if you look at dollar per performance gained, i gained a lot for not too much money. so honestly, you can all shut the **** up on that aspect. lets see. for $1000, i increased horsepower, what? lets say 30 HP, when the pulley alone is supposed to do that. so with a baseline of 200HP, now running 230 HP, conservatively spoken here, thats an increase of about......what, 15%? thats a considerable amount, given that we are owners of a limited section of the market, are starting out with a slower car, and most of our parts are a bit pricey. but thats besides the point. just just bugged me a bit.

however nonetheless i poked and prodded and got poked and prodded back. so shake- you and some others were right, i shoulda kept my mouth shut. my problem isnt with you specifically, and i shouldnt have vented, shoulda just clicked back. so i'll just leave this as my apology cause i WAS acting like a jerk. you didnt deserve it.

It all cool, I accept your appology I actually like the "looks good" and other comments like that. I think that's what these kinds of threads are for. I never said I was seriously modded, I've only done a few cosmetic things.

Thanks for your comments and support everyone.

Now back to modding....

Glad I am out of the Air Force now so I don't have to get associated with tards like you! What a disgrace. And whether it is a spacesuit or a flight suit, you still look like a clown in it!

Shake, car is looking good keep it up! Its always nice to see people give a timeline of their mods.

it does in fact get ladies, actually. funny you mentioned it. no sarcasm there, just stating.

there are flying crew cheifs, flight surgeons, loadmasters (my job), and pheonix ravens that all wear the nomex fire retardant suit as well.

i'm sick and tired of the damned look at me threads. its over the top. its a stock mercedes. big deal. forgive my cynicism, but jesus christ- the people around here are rediculous. yes, a timeline for your car. save the pictures to your computer, and post the progression when theres something worth posting.
