outer door molding replacement - is it easy?

outer door molding replacement - is it easy?
one of my passenger rear doors' exterior molding (painted piece that has the chrome strip on it) had been scratched up so I ordered a replacement from the dealer. Apparently they come already pre-painted but I can't figure out how to remove the old one and install the new one. Do all the interior door panels have to come off so that i can access it?

When you go pick up the part at the dealer,
ask an SA or MB Tech for the WIS instructions on how to replace that strip.
My guess is that it takes a special plastic wedge tool to carefully pry it out, and then it snaps off. The new one snaps on. You may need new clips (I'm guessing here) if any break when you take off the existing strip.
I'm sure there is NO need to remove any interior parts whatsoever.

everyone should invest in some quality pry tools.
I got mine from an MB Tech many years ago. It makes jobs so much easier,
and saves your fingernails and finger tips from bloody messes !!
