HELP w/ OEM Mercedes Front Driver Door Control Unit Module W203
OEM Mercedes Front Driver Door Control Unit Module W203
just started having the same problem discussed in the following threads
titled: Tilt & telescope problem
https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...+tilt+steering
basically my power steering wheel will move in and out but no longer up and down...
read on another post but can not find it.... that this power mirrors... seats and steering wheel.. along with the memory is controlled by a "control modulator"
that same thread suggested that i check certain fuses and i did so.. all of which are okay.. so i am going to assume that it is the "control modulator"
i called my local dealer giving him the part number 203-820-15-85 and he stated... "yeah, i think this is it"
1. can anyone confirm that this is the correct part number?
2. is this located under the drivers seat? if so.. i could look and verify the p/n myself.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

W203 slightly modified
You broke a $1 plastic part which requires more than half of your dashboard to be removed so that you can drop the steering column and service this part.
It is a gear for the vertical adjustment. You will find that the motor still works if you listen closely.
