2001 c240 failed inspection. BAD SHOCK?? advice on replacing stock shocks needed!

My 2001 c240 supposodly failed because of my left rear shock. Sounds crazy, never seen a car fair becuase of that... Does anyone know any walkthrough on replacing shocks on the c240? And does anyone have any advice on some good shocks to replace the stock ones. I am looking to keep the ride as lincoln continental like as possible and close to stock.

Yes, koni yellows - I'm assuming your car is not a 4matic.

If you have to change the shocks already, might as well upgrade.
