Knuckle and Spindle need to be replaced

Well my camber on my car was messed up pretty bad in the front left tire so i brought my car in to the dealership. They told me that there was some type of damage to my car which caused the knuckle and spindle to bend. They quoted me a price for 1100! I have never even gotten into an accident with this car nor have i ever hit a pot hole big enough for this to happen. I looked up the parts online and it came to about 341 dollars for both parts ( 209332001 and 2093300325) does anyone know if they could be lying and just trying to get me to pay for something that does not need to be changed. Anyone in the Orlando know of a place i can take it or that can take a look at it. Also shouldn't this be covered under warranty?

Did you have any fluid leaking from the forward arms, where they mount to the frame.

If you saw the parts online for $341 they 'probably' cost $600 from the dealer (guess), which leaves $500 for 5 hours of work. No way would it take someone with experience (or even without!) that long to replace those parts and align it. A recurring complaint seems to be overblown repair costs. The dealers have a book that spells out times to replace parts but that doesn't mean they use those numbers, or that the numbers are too low or easy to beat. Find an independent MB mechanic and get a price from them, I bet it will be around $600, if....if that's the problem.

I hit a pot hole so big it broke my wheel and no damage was done to my suspension. The most common fault is with the fluid filled link ends leaking out. If the shop has a press you can change the ends for $18 a piece. If you order the rod and end seperate you can press the two when you get them and its half the price too. So Mercedes charges double to have the two together. The service disc shows the part numbers to order to save the extra cost but the mechanics wont tell you that.
