but i like ur idea,....other then that problem i would love to do that also...

The seal has to be waterproof, yet not air tight. You'll notice "breather nipples" on the back of the lights, so the lights are not air-tight at all.
I'm going to put an extra bead of silicon around the outside edge once I get the lense back on. Should be good enough.

That's some darn good looking custom work! Make sure to take updated pics once they're on and everything is working dandy. Day pics and night pics with them on!

They are Euro BiX, purchased from flavio (flave I think is his member name).
The lenses are painted 040 black, to match my car.
The construction adhesive takes 24hrs to set , so the rings and ballasts are being glued on right now, lenses tomorrow, and installed this weekend coming up.
A ring could be double-sided taped to the projector, yet the ring in the smaller circle (high beam?) has to be glued on.
Plus its raining today I'll take some more teasers this week as I reassemble the lights as long as someone at work doesn't steal the DC power supply I'm using to power them.

The seal should be waterproof for sure (so water doesn't drip in from the rain), but the actual housing isn't. There are breathing holes in the back (near the access hatches).
Just look at our mirror blinkers. Same principle. There's a breather hole. They're designed so that if any condensation gets in, it can escape.

in that case... i retract my previous statement...
btw... as good as this may turnout... at night people will expect a bimmer from a distance and see a mercedes up close, i dont know if i would personally be okay with that.

in my mind, original means something no one or no car company has done before... not copying style from some one else
also, my instinct tells me that they wont light up the road as well as the original projector housing... i'm curious what the beam pattern and range will be like. hopefully not too much of a loss just for looks.
regardless it is nicely done

nice work
but i don't think they look very well with the design of the w203 headlight tho because you have all that roundness/extra space going on and then the two ring smacks you in the face. it looks great with headlights like the BMWs tho.

Angel eyes originated on BMWs, yet aftermarket ones are available for many different brands, so its not original, yet it is original on a Mercedes.

After seeing the blacked out Depo ones I changed my mind. Colour-matching the lenses takes away a bit of the affect you're talking about.

That's exactly why I never upgraded to BiX, cause I thought the projector in the big round part looks stupid, its small and out of place.

Looks cool, but really is a BMW trademark and I smirk and laugh to myself when I see all the Honda's around me sporting the angel eyes. This should really give BMW owners something to smirk about. I wouldn't sport them. just my opinion.

i meant 'original' as in the context of an idea done to our cars. we all do certain things that set us apart from one another, but because of the parts made available, if you think about it, we all have fairly the same mods. this ons is something none of us have... yet! I think its a cool idea, and regardless, if its a 'knock-off' of bmw, so what. it looks cool and give props at least for the idea. if its not your slice o pie, thats fine. thats why we all say 'to each their own'. Maybe I'm lame for giving him props but I give him more credit for thinking outside the bo and attempting to be different then do another cookie cutter mod [no offense to those who have similar mods. jsut stating to make a point. nothing but repsect for you all].
