ya they're going to eventually but they're fighting me every step of the way, as usual. they want you to use cheap aftermarket glass and a second-rate installer. they love it when i tell them to f-off, the dealership is doing the job and you're paying full price!
car has been in the shop 1 week now as of tomorrow. probably will take them another week to send their goddamn adjuster out to write the check.

don't give in to those damn adjustors. They're sole reason for existence is to keep their companies from paying anything at all, or the minimum possible, without regard to quality or concern for making things just exactly the way they were before. Don't give up. Fight it. That's why we pay high insurance rates to begin with. It's our money !

that really sucks but if you park your car outside, it could happen again (if the nut lives in nearby)

Since when was the rear window considered a windshield? Unless you drive in reverse at high speeds, I can only wonder what you guys call that big piece of glass at the front end of the cabin.

Ah, well. Interesting you should bring this up.
I saw a special on TV the other day about a car theft ring that ships cars to China. And yes, they steal the (supposedly) unstealable.

Since no interior motion sensor exists (unless you install it like Sunman)
the thieves smash the side window and crawl in.
This is because, once a door is opened the alarm is activated and the car is immobilized. If they climb in the broken window, they can use a laptop with software from the mfg. to take a blank key and start the car.

The car shown was a Porsche, but apparently MBZ is effected to.
All this could be avoided if MBZ installed a motion sensor in the car.

Now all that being said, just ONE TIME, I was sitting drinking coffee, when a Harley went by and just shook the ground (basturds with their f'ing stupid loud exhausts) and the alarm went off. I didn't think we had vibration alarms but it went off for a minute and reset itself.

I hate snow. We don't have any rain in the summer.
6 months of light rain from Nov-May, 6 months of sun. end of May-Oct.
