Damn, wasn't fast enough to check out the girl...

Still want photos of the car. I managed to leave the Police concert here in Seattle without incident.

Pics of the damage

Here it is

This pic makes it look like no biggie. I think it is because the lighting is bad, and the car has a dark color.

Ahhh, Mr. Concrete barrier, nice to see you left something behind.

This weekend I'll get out the rubbing compound, and see what I can do.

Any thoughts on how to handle this?

Pretty Deep actually. But, I need to start getting off the concrete's paint that is covering my paint to know how deep.

There are two gouges that you can't really see. They are about the size of a 50 cent piece on the plastic lower panel.

I might just put a sticker on it that says, "This is what happened to the last guy."

Ed, try Meguiar's Body Scrub and then some Clay Bar, and then Gold Class Polish.

I can't see the pics at work, but I'll look at it at home. Perhaps a good detailer can get it out?

Also have you ever heard about Carsmetics? They are in Costa Mesa and do great repair work for cheap.

Hey, That is Salmon to you!

Living in a beach town, the dress code is shorts, flip flops, and whatever shirt I pick up.

That actually doesn't look that bad, E. Rubbing compound should get that paint transfer off, but can't tell where the dents are.

I think it's time to do this E... might as well get the hatch and everything else done at the same time.

You should try 3M finesse-it finishing material too, that may take out some of the color from the block...

OUCH!!!

Mang, I'm feeling like sympathy was yestarday.

Today, the saying is, "your wasting my MFing time!"

I think that is from the movie Heat with Al Pacino.

I was actually thinking of looking how much low mileage 2002 Coupes are going for. Take my parts with me, and go to a vehicle with no damage.

E
nah mang, I feel your pain. since the damage is only cosmetic on your car and you've done so much, I think having a shop fix it and make it pretty again will be a better option than gettting a "new" one. you got your coupe new and know that you cared for it meticulously, you may have a newer cosmetically looking coupe if you do trade it, but you won't have that history or knowledge... I'm all about having yours fixed.
