Quick question for everone (and I did search the forum first):
I'm looking at 19" x 8.5" front wheels and 19" x 9.5" rear. I know 235/35/19 will work in the front...but will 265/30/19 work in the rear?

I posted in the tire section also but figured I'd toss it up here becasue you guys know everything about a c-class.

Any help is appreciated!
Those sizes will work, but running a staggered setup on a 4matic is not advised. Some people have done it but I wouldn't want to take a chance.

what you can do however is try contacting Steve aka mbenznl.com and see if he can get you the Avantgarde/sport springs for the 4-matic. There were couple people that had the C230/320 sport 4-matic back in 2003-2004.

Oh and the pic wanst pshoped. This is my actual ride hight on stock suspension.

Is the feeling that the staggered wheels would significantly impact handling, performance, etc? And would switching back to OEM's with all weathers from October through April make any difference?

I use my Oem wheels for the winter, and my rims for the summer months.

Running a larger, heavier wheel will effect the acceleration. The reason why you shouldn't run a staggered setup on an AWD vehicle is that the the front wheels will rotate at a different speed than the rear wheels which can cause problems with your drive train.

makes sense and the staggered fitment would effect other performance based mods. Sucks becasue the wheels looked sick but it makes complete sense.

Back to looking around. Thanks for the help!

Just a quick update...The Phase 1 reveal will take place in 1 week.

I have been taking pre and post pictures of each mod to give a before and after. Hopefully it helps other new people in determining what they want to do.

You guys have been great with all of the post to the thread and PMs.

Thanks again.
