what are the engine codes?
Hey all, I know that the 1.8l c230ss is the m271....but i have an 06 v6 and was wondering what the code is. I ask because i come across alot of threads for the m271 so i want to be sure not the purchase the wrong aftermarket parts. any help would be appreciated.

I mean who made the M271 engine? Mercedes or Chrisyler?

yes, built in Germany

I don't believe any Chrysler engines were ever used in MB's. I'm pretty sure the only car to have any engine swap is the Crossfire, it had the M112 3.2L V6 and the supercharged version (C32, SLK32) for the SRT-6
