2006 C230 OBD Link Problem?
My check engine light went on last night and I have about 28K miles on it.
It's kinda a pain to go into the dealership even though its under warranty so I went to Autozone to see what the code is and to clear it.
I got the OBD II and plugged it in, it said "LINKING" but said could not link. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? I had the switch in both 0 position and 2 position. Still would not link to read the code.
Please help if you can,
Sanny

The scanner needs to be compatible with CANBUS-D and most are only rated for CANBUS-C.
The reason for the change was for a speed increase.
so i dont know i just hit yes again, and somehow it worked! it said clear code? and i was so happy it linked i just hit clear and the light went off! i didnt even get a chance to get the code of what was wrong. i beleive it was a misfire cuase i had the a/c on after a really long time and it was causing the car to be really weak at idle.
but anwyas all is good now.
so maybe just hit yes again and it may work!?
