Not bad for a bluetooth integration HU, but I wouldn't discount the classic forms of entertainment (CD, MP3 CD, and radio) quite yet. Also, this does offer a way to integrate an iPod with it, but it doesn't seem (at least from the description) offer an iPod connector to control the player from the HU, which is a great convenience while on the road. If you want bluetooth, MP3, CD, and iPod connectivity in one unit, take a look at the Pioneer 9800BT. It's more expensive, and would be a good choice UNLESS you have a Motorola phone, but it has worked well for me with my Sony.
As for installation, a 03 240 will require a dash kit (about $20) to fit a single-din unit, like the one you selected, into the dash, a wiring harness (the correct one is for VW cars from 98 to 01, I think), and the wiring diagram, which can be found by searching the forums, or PM me for a link if you can't find it. A bunch of other threads will point you to other head unit alternatives and installation procedures, and you will find them when you search. Good luck!
BTW, I found my dash kit at a Good Guys car audio section before they closed, but it can be found at Circuit City or most independent car audio shops. Anything that's marked for a 01-04 C-class W203 will work. Also, don't let the independents charge you more than $30 for it, 'cause they'll try

Thanks jed.
I will most likely get it professionally installed together with a sub & amp.
I'm currently working on my first DIY fiberglass enclosure on my spare time.
Any idea on the cost to get it all professionally installed (HU,sub/amp)?
How hard is it to do anyway?
