to smoke or not to smoke

Hey Guys,
I haven't installed these trim rings yet because I'm considering smoking the headlights and fogs when I do the taillights. Any experience or advice?

And what do you guys think about the trim rings?

what you mean by smoking the headlight/fog. u want it to be like...black? so you cant see out?

not a fan of trim or smoking the headlight or fogs... How will you see the road? Plus isn't that just a ticket waiting to happen?

I'm talking about something light, just to darken the lense a bit.

paint to match for the trim rings and call it a day. if you had a black car it would look cool, but smoking out on any other color makes it stand out. I dunno, just not my bag....

Get the smoked film from stickercity, that way you can remove it if it doesn't look good, plus you'll have the film to protect the actual lenses.

I saw the blue, but I don't think it will look right on my color car. I wish someone had experience to tell me how much light was decreased. You can barely even tell the CLS has tint, so I can't imagine that much difference.
