C230 Sports Coupe
had a run in with a matrix this morning
it was the XRS model. I beat it. I think they have around the same hp as we do but no torque at all. Just thought I would share.

Toyota Tacoma & Lexus IS250
for half the price of the C230, its not supposed to beat it, look better than it or compete in anyway with it.
personally I think they look pretty cool...as long as it has the manual tranny

for half the price of the C230, its not supposed to beat it, look better than it or compete in anyway with it.
Personally, I don't like the mini-minivan look of the Matrix, Civic SI, et al. On the other hand, I like the look of the VW GTI better than my C230K. I can't explain that....

I will agree with you bagwell, it is a nice looking car. I wonder how long before a turbo is offered in it. Turbo + AWD = fun

i liked the matrix when it first came out. now, i'm not so hot on it. i'm on the honda element phase. (the mini is still on the list also).

when i first saw the matrix, i thought it looked pretty cool and new age. its not a bad car for the price. i hear its supposed to be the "sporty" corolla. but of course..id take my c230 over it anyday

the key to getting the 180 HP from the Matrix is you have to rev the crap out of it....like 7500 RPM is where the 180 HP is - if you're not willing to rev it...you'll never see the 180 HP

Jorel: I know this sounds crazy but if Toyota would have had a turbo AND AWD in the Celica, I might have gotten that car. It looks good, but I'm not a FWD fan.
Bagwell: yeah who ever it was they didnt rev it at the light. They did rev while racing but they didnt drop the clutch on the luanch.
