BAD FM reception... help with cutted cable

Hi everybody,

I live in Portugal and have a W203 C220CDI station wagon.
The radio is an Audio 10CD but the FM reception is not as good as in most cars.
My windows are not tinted, and yesterday I decided to investigate the problem.

The antenna amplifier (above the rear left window) appears to be working fine. I unplugged it and the FM reception was even worst.

Then checked the antenna cable all the way to the left side of the tailgate window, where it is connected. No fault in the connector.

Now, the interesting thing was on the right side of the tailgate window and I need your help to find out what it is.

It's two antenna cables. One similar to the one that connects to the antenna amplifier. The other one is just cutted.

My station wagon has an phone antenna installation that is working perfectly, and I believe that these cable are not phone related.

So, my doubt is... What are these 2 cables for? Can my bad FM reception be associated with this?

Here are the photos:
Best regards to all,
Andre Antunes
